Having a good profile photo makes your profile 14 times more likely to be viewed by others. Here are the steps to take to change and upload a profile picture.
First, make sure that you are in the editing view of your profile by going to Edit Profile from the menu or by clicking the gear icon on your profile and selecting Edit Profile.
Then click on the profile photo area. You will recognize this area by the camera icon and select Change photo from the menu.
A popup will appear where you can upload your photo by either dragging and dropping the photo into the upload box or by pressing the upload button and selecting the image you want to upload. Press apply when you are finished.
