Stormy Daniels Commands ‘Space Force’ In New Sci-Fi Comic Book

LOS ANGELES—Even as her 2018 lawsuit against Donald Trump continues to linger in the legal system, with aspects of the case even reaching the United States Supreme Court last week, AVN Hall of Famer Stormy Daniels is soon to become a comic book superhero. A new comic series, Stormy Daniels: Space Force, is now due from Canadian publisher TidalWave Productions later this year. The comic book will also later be adapted into a television cartoon series, according to a Reuters report published this week. With the name of the comic echoing Trump’s newly created branch of the military the sci-fi fantasy comic book clearly is not completely divorced from Daniels’ real-life experience. According to a TidalWave description of the storyline, “Captain Stormy Daniels commands the Helix, a starship serving the United Republic of Earth and its leader, ‘very stable genius’ OrDon.”  The publisher goes on to describe the comic as “Barbarella-meets-Star Trek-meets-Stripperella in a racy comedy, action and adventure series starring Daniels.” Barbarella is the 1968 psychedelic sci-fi film by French director Roger Vadim based on the graphic novel and starring his then-wife, Jane Fonda. Star Trek is, well, Star Trek. And Striperella was a 2004 animated TV series created by Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee. Though a federal court ultimately dismissed her lawsuit against Trump in March of 2019, Daniels’ case surfaced in the news again last week. A case against Trump over the “hush money” payments his then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, made to Daniels to keep her quiet over her sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, brought by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., reached the Supreme Court for oral arguments. But the comic book is “all satirical, of course,” Daniels told Reuters. Nonetheless, her star turn as a comic book superhero would likely never have happened without her year-long legal action against Trump. “I’m not going to sit here and lie and say like good stuff didn’t come out of it, because it absolutely did,” Daniels told Reuters. “But what people don’t realize is that it’s always still a double-edged sword.” TidalWave is the same company that in 2018 published an unauthorized biographical comic book about Daniels. This week, the publisher will release a new Daniels bio-comic, Female Force: Stormy Daniels, which was not only authorized by Daniels, but was edited by her as well, and includes a foreword that she also authored.
